[All] Song Il-gook: “No casting offer for 10 years...I saw the notice and auditioned myself”

“I didn’t get any offers, not even from events,” said Song Il-gook. “I was completely focused on raising my children. I think it was natural that I didn’t get any casting offers because I wasn’t competitive as an actor,” he confessed. “I auditioned for nearly 10 musicals. I applied directly after seeing the announcement, and that’s how I ended up doing ‘Mamma Mia’ last year. I didn’t get an offer; I auditioned myself.”
