[All] 'Despicable Me 4' Director: "BTS, Blackpink OST, K-Pop = Charm that Spreads Throughout the World"

This summer's hottest film, 'Despicable Me 4', which ranked first at the box office in 63 countries around the world, is also gathering attention for its OST. Director Chris Renaud personally revealed the reason why he included songs by K-pop artists BTS and BLACKPINK in this film.

The inclusion of BTS's "Dynamite" and Blackpink's "Boombayah" really proves the global popularity of K-pop. Director Chris Renaud, who was in charge of directing this work, said, "There are many artists with global fandoms, but K-pop has a unique charm that reaches out to the world," and explained why he selected K-pop for the soundtrack, saying, "The music is fun and full of energy, so I thought it was similar to the purpose of the 'Despicable Me' series, which is to provide a good time to the audience."
