Kim Woo-min (22), a promising Korean swimmer, crossed the finish line in third place in the 400m freestyle final. He became the first Korean swimmer to win a medal at the Olympics since Park Tae-hwan.
Kim Woo-min recorded 3rd place overall with a time of 3 minutes and 42.50 seconds in the men's 400m freestyle final at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the La Defense Arena in Paris, France on the afternoon of the 27th (Korean time).
With this, Kim Woo-min won the bronze medal. This is the first Olympic medal for Korean swimming in 12 years since Park Tae-hwan won silver medals in the 400m and 200m freestyle at the 2012 London Olympics. The gold medal went to Germany's Lucas Martens (3:41.78). The silver medal went to Australia's Eliza Winington (3:42.21).
