The fire that broke out at Hotel 8-9 in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province yesterday is becoming a hot topic.
It is said that there was a lot of smoke inside the building and that the size of the fire visible outside was also considerable.
Fire trucks reportedly arrived and air mattresses were laid out, telling victims in the fire zone to jump off.
In order to rescue them quickly, the firefighters broke the windows and checked the rooms with flashlightsㅜㅜ
They say the smoke was really bad...
They say there were 19 casualties in this incident.
The reason for the increased casualties is said to be because people were forced to escape the building to avoid the smoke and became poisoned by it.
It is also suspected that the sprinklers inside the building were not functioning properly.
In the end, it is said that those who jumped onto the air mattress died.
We pray for the repose of the deceased's soul.
You can see the fire on the outskirts, and if you check the video below, you can see that the fire and smoke were very bad.
There is a lot of talk about how to deal with this incident.
There are quite a few opinions that say the air mattress is too small and therefore unsafe.
I also agree with the opinion that the air mattress needs to be reinforced.
It's so small that it would be difficult to land accurately in the center from a high floor.
And there are also comments saying that I should have used a slingshot.

아무리 소방법 의무가 아닐때 지어진 건물이라도 최소 몇년안에 보완하도록 조치를 했어야 하지 않나 싶네요.. 스프링쿨러만 있었어도 이런 큰 피해는 없었을텐데 말이죠;;;

안타까운 사고네요. 완강기를 이용해야하는 군요. 에어매트를 보강해야하는 것도 맞는 것 같아요. 생각해보면 너무 끔찍한 사건입니다.

소방시설 보강이 필요한데도 불구하고 사업주들은 굉장히 싫어합니다. 스프링클러 같은 설비 설치하려면 공사비가 많이 들어가니 업주입장에선 강제 의무사항 아니면 무조건 회피하려합니다.
