Hive CEO Lee Jae-sang issued an apology regarding the recently released monitoring documents.

Hive's CEO Lee Jae-sang said on the 29th through the official website: "We bow our heads and apologize to our artists, industry insiders, and fans regarding our monitoring documents that were pointed out during the National Assembly Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee's state audit on October 24th," they said.

The representative said of the monitoring document, "The document was created in the process of collecting various responses and public opinions on industry trends and issues." "It was shared only with some leaders for the purpose of understanding public opinion of the market and artist fans, but the content of the document was highly inappropriate." He bowed his head.

He continued, "On behalf of the company, I admit to all wrongdoing and feel responsible for the fact that provocative and crude expressions toward K-pop artists were included, the fact that the writer's personal views and evaluations were added, and the fact that the content was left in a document." He added, "I am deeply sorry and devastated that innocent artists and members are being misunderstood and harmed by the suspicion of reverse virality, which is completely untrue."

The representative also apologized to other artists mentioned in the document. He said: "We would like to formally and sincerely apologize to the external artists who were harmed and hurt by being mentioned in the document," he said. "We are contacting their agencies separately to apologize directly. We also extend our sincere and official apologies to all of the artists of Hive Music Group who have been receiving criticism because of the company," he said.

He acknowledged that the leadership that shared the document lacked awareness of the problem, and as CEO, he immediately stopped creating the monitoring document, established guidelines to prevent such problems from happening again, and promised to strengthen internal controls.

Lastly, the representative said, "I once again apologize to the artists, industry insiders, fans, and everyone who loves and supports K-pop who were hurt by this incident. As the representative of the company, I will thoroughly improve the wrongdoings of the past through thorough reflection and introspection, and I will do my best for the sound development of the K-pop industry by prioritizing the rights and interests of all K-pop artists and respect for fans. He said.

If I apologize now, will it be over?

Isn't this just cutting off the tail?
