Binggrae's 'Banana Milk Container' to be Registered as a National Cultural Heritage

Binggrae announced on the 11th that it is pushing for the registration of the 'Banana Flavored Milk' container as a nationally registered cultural heritage.

According to a Binggrae official, they are currently in the preparation stage, including data collection, and the application period has not been set yet.
Nationally registered cultural heritages are modern and contemporary cultural heritages that were created over 50 years ago and require preservation and utilization measures. The National Heritage Administration registers these after deliberation by the Cultural Heritage Committee.

Banana-flavored milk is Binggrae's representative product, launched in 1974.

The product's simple container form has remained the same for the past 50 years.

The shape of the container is inspired by a moon jar, and it is known that it was designed in this way to express the image of a high-end product at the time of its release.

Previously, Hyundai Motor Company's automobile 'Pony 1', Korea's first washing machine 'Geumseong Washing Machine', and Samsung Electronics' semiconductor '64K DRAM' were registered as national cultural heritages.

Since it is inspired by a moon jar, it is definitely a nationally registered cultural heritage.
