I also enjoyed watching up to episode 7, but I thought people had really high expectations.
I'm so proud and amazed that we've surpassed the record set by Season 1 worldwide.
I hope season 3 will be loved by more people.

(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Yoon Hyo-jeong = Entertainment streaming service Netflix's new series 'Squid Game' Season 2 (written/directed by Hwang Dong-hyeok/hereafter 'Squid Game 2') has set a new record from its first week of release.
According to the viewership rankings released by Netflix on the 1st, 'Squid Game 2' ranked first in the non-English TV show rankings for the fourth week of December, recording 487.6 million hours of viewing time. The number of views divided by the total running time (7 hours and 10 minutes) is 68 million.
'Squid Game 2' ranked first in a total of 92 countries.
The first week record of 'Squid Game 2' broke the record of 448.73 million hours watched in the first week of 'Squid Game' season 1, which was released in 2021.
2nd place goes to 'La Palma', and season 1 of 'Squid Game', which gained attention again with the release of season 2, entered the 3rd place. 'Squid Game 1' is 'reversing', recording 67.1 million viewing hours for the week.
4th place goes to MBC drama 'The Call You're Dialing', available on Netflix. It recorded 50.1 million viewing hours.
'Squid Game' Season 1 holds the record for the highest viewing time in Netflix's history, recording a cumulative 2.252 billion viewing hours. Attention is also focused on the final record of Season 2, which has been breaking records since its first week of release.
Meanwhile, 'Squid Game 2' is causing a lot of buzz. On the 1st, a domestic media outlet reported that Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has already finished filming for Season 3 of 'Squid Game'. However, Netflix dismissed it as a "baseless rumor." This issue has once again brought viewers' attention to 'Squid Game'.
