'Trustworthy' MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, I.M) are back.
On the 1st, MONSTA X held a comeback talk live to commemorate the release of their new mini-album 'THE X' through their official YouTube channel. MONSTA X, who met fans for the first time right after the album's release, received a passionate response from MONBEBE (official fan club name) around the world with real-time communication and various corners.
Monsta X, who expressed their excitement for the album release, took time to check Monbebe's 'favorite songs' through real-time chat. Amidst the various songs mentioned, the members immediately introduced the six songs included in the album one by one through the first talk corner, 'THE 'TRACKLIST'.
First, Jooheon said about the pre-released song "Do What I Want," which he participated in writing and composing, "It's a song I worked on with producers I've always wanted to work with. It was such an honor." He also explained, "It has a confident, playful, yet solid energy, and the message of 'Let's have fun today!'" Leader Shownu livened up the atmosphere by showing off the point choreography.
Next, the title track "N the Front" was introduced. Kihyun introduced the song as containing the message, "We are the standard. We face it head on without retreating." He said, "We (vocal line) really 'faced it head on' when we rapped." He laughed and said, "There's a video on my phone of Shownu getting frustrated while rapping. Is it okay if I share it?" Jooheon also hinted that he had another video, and Shownu allowed the video to be released, saying, "We'll face everything head on," which heated up the scene.
Continuing the momentum, Monsta X even revealed their group's key choreography, further raising expectations for their comeback stage. Minhyuk said, "There were so many great songs in the album that it went through a lot of competition to become the title track," adding, "Personally, I think the biggest reason it became the title track is because it's a song that can show diversity."
Even after that, Monsta X, true to their reputation as a 'self-producing group', increased the immersion by revealing the behind-the-scenes stories of the production of various tracks, such as I.M's self-composed song 'Savior', Jooheon's other self-composed song 'Tuscan Leather', and Hyungwon's self-composed song 'Fire & Ice'.
After watching the album preview video, the second corner, 'THE 'ALBUM', continued with the album introduction. Shownu explained about the album title 'THE X', "It means a single, complete unknown, suggesting countless possibilities and new directions. It is also connected to the number 10, X, and summarizes the journey of the past 10 years." The members then unboxed various versions of the actual album and told stories related to the concept photos, making it even more entertaining.
After watching the trailer video that announced the start of 'THE X', MONSTA X played a 3:3 game through the last corner 'THE 'SHADOW'. It was a game where they had to guess the members by looking at the silhouettes in the content related to the album, and a fierce battle unfolded under the leadership of MC Jooheon, and after a showdown with the mukjjippa, the losing team of Shownu, Kihyun, and I.M brought laughter by promising to upload a cute version challenge of 'N THE FRONT'.
Finally, MONSTA X concluded their comeback live and expressed their determination for future activities. The members raised expectations by saying, “We sincerely thank MONBEBE, and we hope you look forward to MONSTA X’s many future activities,” and ended the live by shouting, “We love you MONBEBE!”
Monsta X released their new mini-album 'The X' on the 1st. They plan to begin full-fledged comeback promotions with the title song 'N The Front'.
