[All] New Jeans... Why is there so much controversy... I hope the members aren't hurt.
As Min Hee-jin, CEO of Adore, engages in a war of words with Source Music, a subsidiary of Hive, over allegations of trainee theft, it is expected that this will eventually lead to a legal battle.

Min Hee-jin, CEO of Adore, answers reporters' questions as she leaves Yongsan Police Station in Seoul after completing her first summons for questioning on charges of 'breach of trust' on the afternoon of the 9th.
View Original IconOn the 23rd, Adore released an official statement regarding the report that alleged that Representative Min had robbed the members of New Jeans who were trainees at Source Music, stating, "The content of the article covered in the report is false and based on speculation, and we plan to take strong legal action against it."
He continued, "The content reported includes internal meeting minutes, division of labor, and personal KakaoTalk messages, and it would have been impossible to cover it without the cooperation of Hive and Source Music in their reporting and the delivery of false information." He emphasized, "In particular, exposing the personal information of trainees whose contracts have already ended and artists who have currently changed agencies to the public without permission, and leaking various data that violates confidentiality, such as medical records, related materials, and demos, is a breach of contract and a serious felony."
Adore's side stated, "Contrary to the content of the Dispatch article, the fact that Team N's debut was indefinitely postponed due to Representative Min's neglect is very different from the actual facts," and released an email written in 2021 containing the situation at the time to prove that Representative Min did not neglect the matter.
Adore countered that during the N Team project, which was a joint venture between three companies including CEO Min, Source Music, and Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, there were many differences of opinion surrounding the concept, which inevitably led to difficulties in discussions on R&R and production timelines among each company.
He also added that Representative Min sent an email from 2021 to Park Ji-won, CEO of Hive, with an official position attached, but did not receive a response from Hive at the time.
Adore stated, "The entire content of the article is based on false information, so refuting it is meaningless," and "I would like to once again state that the distortion and fabrication of the entire facts and timeline is serious defamation and obstruction of business for Adore, News Jeans, and Representative Min."
