NewJeans' 'OMG' Achieves 700 Million Streams for First Single
NewJeans' mega hits 'OMG' and 'Attention' have added significant records on Spotify.
According to Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, on the 1st, New Jeans' (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) single album 'OMG' and the title song of the same name 'OMG' were streamed 703,513,116 times as of the 30th of last month. This is New Jeans' first single to reach 700 million streams.

Also, 'Attention', one of the triple title songs from the debut album 'New Jeans', was streamed 413,1668 times on this day. With this, 'Attention' became the fifth song in New Jeans' history to reach 400 million streams.

The two songs took the world by storm as soon as they were released. Released in early January last year, "OMG" swept the first and second places on major domestic music charts along with the song "Ditto" from the same album, and gave New Jeans, who had only debuted for six months at the time, the honor of entering the US Billboard main song chart, "Hot 100." In addition to its popularity with the general public, "OMG" was also well-received by critics, including being selected as one of the "Best Songs of 2023" by major overseas media outlets such as Consequence and Associated Press.

Their debut song 'Attention', released in August 2022, also created a sensation on domestic and international charts, gaining syndrome-level popularity. 'OMG' and 'Attention' are still showing a strong presence by staying on the charts in Korea, Japan, and other countries.

New Jeans has a total of 12 songs that have surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. "OMG" has been streamed over 700 million times, "Ditto" has been streamed over 600 million times, "Super Shy" and "Hype Boy" have been streamed over 500 million times, "Attention" has been streamed over 400 million times, "New Jeans," "ETA," and "Cookie" have been streamed over 200 million times each, and "Hurt," "Cool With You," "ASAP," and "Get Up" have been streamed over 100 million times each. Additionally, the total cumulative streams on Spotify across all of New Jeans' songs to date are approaching 4.8 billion.

Meanwhile, New Jeans' double single 'How Sweet' and Japanese debut single 'Supernatural' are showing their power by going against the grain on domestic and international charts even after two and one month since their release, respectively. New Jeans will be performing at the halftime stage of the '2024 Coupang Play Series' Munich vs. Tottenham match at 8 PM on the 3rd at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Spotify OMG surpassed 700 million streams, Attention surpassed 400 million streams. It's definitely New Jeans.
