Our story is a story about Hive
We had already talked to the management, but we felt like there was a breakdown in communication, so we decided to prepare a live show.
Today, our live was something that even the Adore staff didn't know about, so they must have been very surprised. I can't tell you everything about the contract, but I will tell you as honestly as I can.
After New Jeans debuted, we had enough time to get to know CEO Min Hee-jin personally. At that time, we were young and had fears about adults and society, but CEO Min Hee-jin was different and we developed a strong relationship of trust.
We are all aware of the issues that have arisen, but we have enjoyed working with you and have been able to do well so far. It is only natural that we would want to work with someone like you.
Even after our debut, there were many unreasonable things that we couldn't understand. Recently, our private records from before our debut were released, and we were really shocked when we saw them. We couldn't understand how the company that was supposed to protect us couldn't manage these materials and leaked them.
And I started to feel distrustful that other materials wouldn't be managed. So we, the CEO and our parents, requested protection from Hive, but Hive ignored us, and in the meantime, the CEO was fired. I really don't know who to trust and rely on in the future. So I gathered my courage because I thought no one would listen if I didn't say anything like this.
(Hani) This happened a while ago. I ran into another idol member and their manager at a makeup place where I often run into other idol groups, and I heard the manager say, "Ignore me," loud enough for me to hear.
(Minji) I was really shocked when I heard the story that Hani went through. How could a manager of a team tell everyone to ignore her... I told the company, but they didn't take any action, and the team didn't even apologize or admit their mistake. It's a very difficult situation because there's no one to protect us.
(Hani) When I heard that there was no evidence, there was nothing we could do, I thought that there was no one left to protect us, that there was no intention of protecting us. I felt like I had become a liar in an instant. Representative Min Hee-jin fought for us, but the people who are here now are not like that. I am worried and scared about what will happen in the future.
Of course, we are worried about our future, but it is scary that the work we have done so far is also under threat. I cannot understand how such things can happen when there are people who have risked their lives and created the work just as much as we have. At first, we tried to believe and follow the announcements of the new management team, but as time went on, the problems got worse, and the incident with Director Shin Woo-seok a while ago should not have happened. Please respect those who have worked for us. What you are doing now is absolutely not for us.
There were so many things that we couldn't understand with our common sense. We really doubt if Hive is really a company for New Jeans. I hope you can understand a little bit about our feelings when we do this live.
As I said before, our dream was to do the music we wanted to do with CEO Min Hee-jin, and we always worked hard for that, but now we can't do it, and we can't even carry out the plans we had made. We were just working towards our dream, so what did we do wrong? After our CEO was fired, a week later, we can't work with the director we've been working with, and I'm afraid we'll be separated from the other staff members as well. Don't just say you're doing it for the artists, but give us something we can rely on and enjoy working on.
I want to work with the people around me who have helped me grow mentally and given me vitality, but I can't understand the current situation where external forces are constantly interfering with us. I just can't understand what's for us and what makes New Jeans grow. I feel sorry and disappointed for our Bernie's fans who have been comforted by us and have made happy and joyful memories with us, and why they have to go through this and why they worry about things that don't even need to be done. But in the meantime, we almost lost the works that symbolize the relationship between New Jeans and Bernie, and I don't want to lose anything else. And I don't want to conform to, sympathize with, or follow the society that those people (Hive) belong to.
We all were shocked when we heard the news that our CEO had been fired through the news that day. As artists affiliated with HYBE, this unilateral announcement by the company made us realize that they did not respect us at all. We heard through our manager that the new CEO wanted to say hello to us. From the very first thing he did after coming to Adore, he did not give us any trust. We can see that everything that has happened up until now was just words. In the first place, we would like to ask once again how it was for New Jeans when HYBE did not help promote New Jeans a week before their comeback and instead released an article about their CEO's misconduct and portrayed New Jeans negatively to the public.
It's been half a year since we've been constantly talking about unnecessary and tiring things about New Jeans, and as a party, I feel very uncomfortable. We still have goals that we want to achieve together, but in the current situation, we can lose not only the future but also the work we've done so far, and it makes us feel so helpless. I created this space to ask you to stop these tiring actions.
The way Hive is doing things now, we feel that it is not honest and not the right way to do things. Please stop interfering with us. Please bring back the CEO and return him to his original position, not the unfamiliar situation and unfamiliar people. I am not asking you to do better. I think it will be fine if everyone does their job well. We will do our job as well.
I wish you would stop harassing our CEO Min Hee-jin from a humane perspective. Honestly, I feel so bad for her and Hive seems like an inhumane company. What can we learn from a company like this?
What we want is the original Adore, where CEO Min Hee-jin is in charge of management and production.
I hope that Chairman Bang and Hive will make a wise choice to normalize Adore by the 25th.
