[talk] New Jeans fans step forward and “accuse Kim Joo-young, Adore CEO, etc.”
Fans of the group New Jeans, who are in conflict with their parent company Hive due to the dismissal of former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin, have decided to report current Adore CEO Kim Joo-young and others to the police.
Team Bernies, a group of New Jeans fans, posted on X (formerly Twitter) on the 9th, saying, “On the morning of the 10th, we will report Adore CEO Kim Joo-young and Adore Vice President Lee Do-kyung to the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul for breach of trust and obstruction of business, and Hive Chief Public Relations Officer (CCO) Park A-mu and PR Director Jo A-mu for violations of the Personal Information Protection Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.”
They claimed, “As CEOs and inside directors of Adore, Kim Joo-young and Lee Do-kyung deliberately ignored measures taken against the infringement and interference with the entertainment activities of New Jeans members,” and “By disregarding the members’ demands for Adore’s development, they hindered their future music work and activities, and thereby actively caused damage.”
