Girl group New Jeans announced to their agency Adore on the 13th, “If they do not accept our request for corrective action, we will terminate our exclusive contract.” The ‘Adore incident’, which was triggered by an audit of former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin and others in April, has now escalated into a dispute over their exclusive contract.

According to Yonhap News, New Jeans sent this certified letter to the real names of five members: Kim Min-ji, Hani Pham, Marsh Daniel, Kang Hae-rin, and Lee Hye-in. The members urged, “Correct all serious violations of the exclusive contract that I am talking about within 14 days of receiving this letter.”

New Jeans demanded, “As a management company, take all necessary measures in response to Hive’s decision to ‘throw away New (referring to New Jeans) and start anew.’”

Newjins pointed out, “Among the music industry reports (internal documents) of Hive that were recently confirmed in the state audit, there was a phrase that said, ‘We suffered for several days with the wording ‘Newjins, Ive, and Seraphim, but just throw away ‘New’ and start anew.’”

New Jeans emphasized, “If Adore does not accept our request for correction, we will terminate our exclusive contract.” They continued, “There are groundless rumors circulating about the families and acquaintances of New Jeans members, but New Jeans has nothing to do with these rumors,” and “We will respond resolutely to those who slander us with false rumors.”
