The group New Jeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) announced that they will terminate their exclusive contract with their agency Adore.
On the evening of the 28th, the members of New Jeans held an emergency press conference at Space Share in Gangnam-gu, Seoul and announced, “New Jeans’ exclusive contract with Adore will be terminated immediately at midnight on the 29th.”
The dispute between New Jeans and Adore over the termination of their exclusive contracts was expected. On the 13th, the members of New Jeans sent a certified letter to Adore containing demands such as the reinstatement of former Adore CEO Min as CEO and an apology for the “ignoring” remarks that Hani heard. The members stated that if Adore did not comply with their demands within the 14-day deadline for responding to the certified letter, they would proceed with the termination of their exclusive contracts. The previous day, Adore posted a statement on SNS stating, “We completely trust what Hani says” regarding Hani’s “ignoring” remarks.
