According to the Korea Customs Service statistics on the 1st, the export amount of confectionery products from January to November last year increased by 16.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, exceeding 700 million dollars (about 1 trillion won) for the first time. An official from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said, “Confectionery exports have increased significantly thanks to the popularity of the Korean Wave,” and “Major exporting countries are China, the United States, and Japan.”
