[talk] Park Bo-gum and Kim Nam-gil… Dream Casting for 'Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land'

"Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land" is a landscape painting by the painter An Gyeon, painted in 1447 (the 29th year of King Sejong's reign). It depicts An Gyeon's devout patron, Prince Anpyeong, dreaming of a visit to the Peach Blossom Land and describing the experience to An Gyeon, who then commissioned the painting. This monumental work, a culmination of the cultural and artistic achievements of the early Joseon Dynasty, is accompanied by a preface and 23 poems written by Prince Anpyeong, making it of exceptional calligraphic value.

 

Park Bo-gum plays Prince Anpyeong, while Kim Nam-gil transforms into Prince Suyang. The film depicts the Gyeyujeongnan incident, in which Prince Suyang seized power by murdering dozens of Danjong's aides and senior ministers, including Hwangbo In and Kim Jong-seo. The film showcases their impressive acting skills.
