Director Jeong Dong-yoon introduced season 2 of "Gyeongseong Creature" as "a story about the remnants of the times that still remain in 2024 and the reunion of Ho-jae and Chae-ok, who resemble Tae-sang." He explained, "I wanted to tell a story that penetrates the past and the present. The appealing point was that we thought about what it would be like if we thought about the remnants that still remain, rather than stopping at that era.
