On the 27th, Melon announced that the virtual idol group 'PLAVE' surpassed 10,000 concurrent users in the Melon Music Wave chat event.

The chat event held by Playb on the 21st to commemorate the release of their new song 'Pump Up The Volume!' had a maximum of 16,390 concurrent users and a cumulative total of 35,200 users, reaching Music Wave. It set an all-time record.

'Music Wave', launched by Melon in July of last year, is a service where users can listen to music playing in real time and chat together in channels organized by various topics.

Kim Sun-kyung, head of the content planning and operation group at Kakao Entertainment, said, "'Music Wave' is an idea that came from Enterthon (an internal hackathon at Kakao Entertainment where technology/development is competed) and has become an actual service, establishing itself as a major communication channel favored by K-pop fandom.
