[All] Level Irene One Minute Answer "First solo with the story I wanted to tell... Thank you, members"

On the 26th, Irene gave a Q&A through her agency SM Entertainment.

-You are releasing your first solo album after 10 years since your debut. How do you feel?

▶I hope this album comes out to the world soon, as I've been thinking deeply about the stories I want to tell. On the one hand, I feel regretful, but I've done my best to prepare.

-Please introduce your first mini album.

▶As this is my first solo album, I wanted to show you my diverse musical colors. I hope you can feel a new side of me as you listen to each song. Also, since I can share the official soundtrack of 'Ka-Ching' and 'I Feel Pretty' that Luvies (fandom nickname) have been waiting for for a long time, this album has a special meaning to me and Luvies.

-What kind of song is the title song 'Like a Flower'?

▶This song is a pop dance song with a message of blooming beautifully by having small courage like a flower with vitality. The point to appreciate is the performance, so please look closely at the energy that I and the dancers create. I paid the most attention to the harmony with the dancers, and I hoped that it would feel like a team that gives strength to each other with the same emotions, energy, and thoughts.

-You tried out many genres for this album, but which song was your favorite?

▶I like 'Summer Rain' the most. I can't forget the heartbreaking feeling I had when I first heard it. I hope Luvies like it too.

-I’m also curious about how the Red Velvet members supported you as you prepared for your solo debut.

▶First of all, most of the members had already done solo, so they sympathized the most and understood my concerns a lot. I was really grateful. I thought it was really amazing how the members did solo, but on the other hand, I was also proud of them.

-If you have any plans for this album or goals you would like to achieve.

▶First of all, I want to finish the music show well. And rather than having a clear goal, I just hope that whatever I bring out will be something that Luvies can take out and look at someday.

-This year marks the 10th anniversary of Red Velvet's debut and you'll be releasing your first solo album. What kind of year will 2024 be for Irene?

▶I think 2024 will be a truly precious year. I think it will be a memorable year for me as a team, solo, and personally.

▶Thank you so much to our Luvies who waited for a really long time for my solo album. Thanks to you, I was able to have the courage to release this album. I am so, so grateful for your courage.
