According to an announcement from the Recording Industry Association of Japan last week, RISE's debut song "Get A Guitar" has achieved a "Gold" certification in the streaming category, which is awarded when a song has accumulated over 50 million streams as of July. This is the first such achievement for a K-pop boy group that debuted after 2023.
Released in September 2023, "Get a Guitar," the title track of Rise's first single album, garnered global acclaim for its funky music and choreography that features guitar playing and foot-stomping. The song achieved long-term popularity, reaching 100 million Spotify streams in 2024 and ranking on Melon's annual and monthly charts for 15 consecutive months.
With this, Rise has been building a steady growth history every year, starting with being selected as the 'Best 3 New Artist' in the Asia category of the '38th Japan Gold Disc Awards' by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, and receiving a 'Platinum' certification (over 250,000 copies) in the Gold Disc category based on cumulative single and album shipments for their Japanese debut single 'Lucky' in 2024 and a 'Gold' certification (over 100,000 copies) for their first full-length album 'Odyssey' in 2025.
It is said that it has received 'Gold' certification in the streaming sector.
