Hoshi X Uzi, Q&A to commemorate the unit formation comeback
▶? Hoshi and Woozi delivered a Q&A to commemorate their comeback through their agency, Pledis Entertainment.

Q. How do you feel about releasing 'BEAM'?

Hoshi: I've always been with Uzi since we were young. I've always thought that someday we'd like to do unit activities together. I'm excited to be able to share 'BEAM' with you like this. Since it contains the music we want to do, we're going to enjoy the stage and do our activities.

Woozi: I'm so happy to be able to release a new album with my best friend in life. It was exciting and fun to work on, and I think the album turned out to be honest.

Q. What about the title song 'Same Age'?

Hoshi: I thought, 'This is really our song!' Woozi and I usually dance and have fun together when a song we like comes on. We worked on the new songs with our natural love for music.

Q. How was it collaborating with Hwang So-yoon?

Woozi: It was when I was working on the first track, 'PINOCCHIO (feat. So!YoON!)'. I thought it would be great to have a female vocalist with a lot of emotion, so I asked So!YoON to collaborate with me. She readily agreed and worked on it very quickly. I would like to express my gratitude to So!YoON once again.

Q. What new sides of each other did you discover while working on 'BEAM'?

Hoshi: Uzi's producing ability is already well known. This guy is not only good at making music, but he's also a great dancer, a true 'hexagonal idol'! I'll try to reveal Uzi's inner self during this promotion. I want to show a more free and music-enjoying side of me, different from my previous album, Bu Seok Soon.

Woozi: We’ve been together for too long to discover a new side of Hoshi. The sides I’ve seen while working on the new album are also things I already know very well. I don’t think there’s anything special about me that’s unique to me. I feel embarrassed and burdened, but I’ll just do my best as always.

Q. Is there anything you would like to praise yourself for in 'BEAM'?

Hoshi: I like the jacket photo because it turned out well. I'm also grateful to the staff who took the nice pictures. My face turned out well.

Woozi: I think it's worthy of praise that we worked so hard on it. Since it's an album I'm releasing with my best friend, I think it would be nice if only the fun memories remain.

Q. What are the strengths of someone who has had a positive influence on you?

Hoshi: Uji's tenacity in sticking to something and sticking to it! He always makes wise and sometimes cold-blooded choices, which inspires me and teaches me.

Woozi: To me, Hoshi is the person most closely associated with the word 'superstar'. Hoshi's passion is a big part of what moves me.

Q. From your trainee days until now, is there an experience or trigger that made you love or believe in yourself more?

Hoshi: It's CARAT (CARAT, fandom name). I've gained strength to move forward by seeing CARAT, who believe in me and love me more than I do myself.

Woozi: When the members need me, I feel like, 'They trust me and think of me a lot.' I think those moments become a BEAM for me as well.

Q. How did SEVENTEEN members react to 'BEAM'?

Hoshi: I let the members hear the new song in advance. They all really liked it and cheered us on saying things like, "The music is better than we expected," and "Go and tear up the stage."

Q. Any words for CARATs who are waiting for 'BEAM'?

Hoshi: We want to shine back on you with the light we received from you. I hope that our music and performance can make you a little happier. Please do your best with 'BEAM' activities.

Woozi: Carats, I hope you always stay healthy and happy. ♥
