The agency apologized, saying the accident was caused by a defective product used for special effects.
On the 14th, Pledis Entertainment, the agency, stated, "Some of the special effect fireworks used during the last section of Seventeen's world tour on the 13th fell toward the audience seats," and "Two audience members who were confirmed to have been injured at the scene were immediately treated at a temporary treatment center in the concert hall and returned home."
He then bowed his head and said, "I would like to offer my deepest apologies to all the audience members who experienced inconvenience due to this sudden situation."
Pledis explained the cause of the accident, saying, "Before the performance, a professional company set a safety distance and conducted repeated inspections, but we found that the situation occurred due to a defect in some products."
They also said they would support the treatment of injured audience members and assess any additional damage from the previous day's audience.
Pledis Entertainment added, "For the performance on the 14th, we will exclude the problematic products and proceed with special effects production after a more thorough safety inspection," and "We will do our best to create a safer performance environment by prioritizing the safety of the audience."
