Q: Watching the recent YouTube variety shows you’ve appeared on, I felt that Min-gyu is a really funny person.
I want to be fun. I want to be fun, but I can't say with my own mouth that I'm a fun person.
Q What are the reviews from people around you?
Me? Well, I guess I'm just a 'bright person'?
Q A bright person. Someone with a good sense of humor and speaking skills.
He has a way with words, is eloquent, has sense, and is wit, but he also has the humility to not say it with his own mouth… .
Q You are that kind of person.
If you felt that way, I would really appreciate it if you could write about it in the article.
It would be good if you could say, 'I didn't introduce myself like that.'
Q (Laughs) But I actually felt that way.
He's not the type to burst out laughing with outrageous jokes, but he's a person with great timing and sense when it comes to getting his words to work.
But again, he hardly said anything in front of all the former members of Seventeen.
Oh, really? (Thinks for a moment) I didn't mean to, but I guess that's what happened.
I think it's a natural habit. In fact, it's not just me,
How long can you hold back on what you want to say? If there are 13 people and they all rush in and say something, it'll be chaos.
'I have something to say, and I'm confident I can make it fun, but since you said it, let's move on.'
I think it's not just me, but everyone else who has naturally developed that attitude.
Q: Among them, Min-gyu especially likes to be funny, but I wonder if he doesn't like to focus people's attention on himself and do something.
Yes, I am a very talkative person.
In entertainment shows where two or three people appear together, they talk more freely,
I'm really excited about this interview right now. I'm going to be really honest. (Laughs)
Q. It's one thing to like talking, but it's another thing to be greedy for entertainment or hosting. Which one are you, Min-gyu?
It's electronic. I like talking and having fun.
I also hope that doesn't become the main point of view the public has of me.
Anyway, there is a fundamental part to my job.
It's good to keep it well and show various additional aspects, but
I don't think I'm going to go down a completely different path or anything.
Q I feel like SEVENTEEN members are holding back on individual activities. I guess that's because when each member's schedule starts to unfold, it becomes difficult to coordinate the team's schedule.
That's right. Our Super Junior brothers have been very nice to us since we were young.
I think that because it was a multi-person group, there were things like old memories and attachment.
But my brothers always said, “Don’t break up and make sure to continue working as a team for a long time.”
“That’s good for you guys, and that’s what the fans want the most.” I thought that was true even then, but
I feel like I feel it more urgently these days.
Anyway, Seventeen is the coolest when they are together as a team, and when they are together as a team
Because it's what the fans like the most.
Our idea is to keep as many points for the team as possible until we can.
Q If there were no restrictions, what would you most like to do?
There are so many things I want to do. I also want to try making a travel vlog YouTube channel. Not talking to anyone or anything, but just showing my natural travels.
