(Xports News Reporter Yoon Hyun-ji) The production team of the movie 'Bogota: Land of Last Chance' (Director Kim Sung-je) canceled its promotional schedule to join in the mourning for the Jeju Air disaster.



On the 31st, actors Song Joong-ki and Lee Hee-jun of 'Bogota: Land of Last Chance' were scheduled to appear as guests on SBS PowerFM's 'Park Ha-sun's Cinetown' (hereafter referred to as 'Cinetown'), but the schedule was canceled.

On the 30th, SBS Radio said, "We express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in this accident. We also offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved families." They added, "SBS Radio would like to observe a period of mourning regarding this accident, and there will be changes to the guest appearances that were originally scheduled."



In addition, the 'Bogota: Land of Last Chance' production team also canceled the stage greeting scheduled for January 1st to mourn the Jeju Air plane disaster.

On the 29th, the 3rd episode of JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator', which was scheduled to feature Song Joong-ki and Lee Hee-joon as guests, was canceled. On the same day, JTBC's 'News Special' was broadcast.

At around 9:00 AM on the same day, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand crashed into the outer wall of the runway at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province while attempting to land on the runway.

A total of 181 people were on board the plane, including six crew members, 173 Korean passengers, and two Thai passengers, but all 179 people died, excluding the two crew members.

The government has decided to designate a period of national mourning until January 4th and to set up joint incense-burning altars at the Muan Airport site and in 17 cities and provinces across the country to express condolences and sympathy for the victims.
