[talk] It's truly an incredible record to have reached number one for 7 consecutive years.

Stray Kids celebrates their 7th anniversary with a chilling performance, achieving a first-ever Billboard 200 chart in its 70-year history.

(MHN Intern Reporter Lee Han-min) Group Stray Kids set a new Billboard record with their 4th full-length album 'KARMA'.

As of the 6th, Stray Kids' regular album 'KARMA' ranked first on the 'Billboard 200' for the 7th time.

Stray Kids' 2025 is particularly connected to the number 7. Just like Stray Kids, who enjoys witty wordplay such as 'GO生' (고생), 'IN生' (인생), 'NOEASY' (노이지), and '合 (HOP)' (합 (합)), we unraveled their journey to becoming the protagonists of a new Billboard history using the number 7, the English word chill, and the word seven.

The world tour 'dominATE' that circles the globe seven times

Stray Kids launched their largest-ever world tour, 'Stray Kids World Tour dominATE', which will cover a total distance of 285,000 km, starting in Seoul in August 2024 and ending in Rome in July 2025. In the United States, they held a stadium tour of 12 shows in 9 cities.

Between the two tours, Stray Kids achieved four more No. 1s on the Billboard 200, a record first in the chart's 69-year history, and charted in the Hot 100 three times. They also won awards at the MTV Video Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards, and performed at major music festivals such as the Global Citizen Festival and Lollapalooza Chicago.

Stray Kids, who have built a strong fandom in the United States, became the first K-pop artist to enter Seattle T-Mobile Park and Orlando Camping World Stadium during their '< dominATE >' tour, and left a distinct mark by becoming the first artist in the world to hold two consecutive performances at Arlington Globe Life Field since its opening.

SKZ's unique musical color that is 'chill'

Stray Kids, who successfully completed a world tour, are back with a new full-length album after two years, emphasizing their "musical color" above all else. As a self-producing group that has personally produced every album they've released since their debut, they wanted to share a wider range of musical colors with the world. Their new song "CEREMONY" is also a result of this process, and it's the first time Stray Kids has released a powerful trap EDM title track.

"CEREMONY," a grand self-congratulatory song that affirms that the times of earnest effort have returned as good karma and made Stray Kids who they are today, brings to mind the wonderful paradise that Stray Kids look down upon at their current level. Stray Kids' unique, chilled musical color has once again stolen the hearts of fans around the world.

Billboard 200's 70-year history: First seven consecutive No. 1 hits

Stray Kids' Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N have raised expectations for a new Billboard record by achieving early success on the US music charts with their full-length album "KARMA" and title track "CEREMONY." "CEREMONY" debuted at its highest rank of 49th on the Spotify Daily Top Songs US chart, and based on the data from August 22nd to 24th, "KARMA" ranked 5th on Spotify's Top Album Debut US, and "CEREMONY" ranked 2nd on the Top Song Debut US.

Ultimately, they broke their own record for first-week sales in the US and topped the Billboard 200 for the 7th time on the 6th. Stray Kids is the first artist in the 70-year history of the Billboard 200, which began in March 1956, to have seven consecutive works reach the top spot. They are also the K-pop artist with the most number one albums on the Billboard 200 and the only K-pop artist to reach the top of the chart this year.

Meanwhile, Stray Kids' new album 'KARMA' is a story about having a strong belief in yourself that you can create your destiny through your choices and actions.
