[SPOTV News=Reporter Kim Hyeon-rok] A BJ who was sentenced to prison for blackmailing singer and musical actor Kim Jun-su and extorting 800 million won in bribes has appealed the sentence.
According to Newsis, Ms. A, a woman in her 30s who was sentenced to 7 years in prison in the first trial after being arrested and indicted on charges of blackmail under the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes Act, filed an appeal with the court on the 7th.
On the previous day, the 6th, the 11th Criminal Division of Uijeongbu District Court (Presiding Judge Oh Chang-seop) sentenced Mr. A to 7 years in prison, stating, "The nature of the crime is not good," and "The victim is requesting severe punishment as he has suffered economic and mental damage."
The court also said, "The defendant recorded private conversations with the victim, took photos, and when their relationship became neglected, he decided to use this to extort money," adding, "The defendant has admitted to all of this, and all related evidence is considered guilty."
Person A was arrested and indicted on charges of extorting approximately 800 million won from Junsu Kim by threatening him 101 times between September 2020 and October of last year. Person A was investigated for extorting money by threatening to record and distribute private conversations with Junsu Kim.
Regarding the incident, Junsu Kim filed a complaint, claiming that he met person A, thinking she was a nail artist, and that she extorted money from him for five years.
His agency Palm Tree Island emphasized that Junsu Kim had been receiving threats because he was a celebrity, and stated, "Junsu Kim is clearly a victim" and "We have confirmed that there are many victims of Mr. A's blackmail and threats, not just ourselves, and have decided to take legal action to prevent any further damage."

우리 나라에서 범죄에 내리는 형량치고 좀 높게 나온거 같긴해요... 사실 이 형량이 높다기 보다 다른 중대범죄에 형량이 너무 낮은감이 있다고 생각해요

이런게 문제 같아요... 진짜 중대범죄 말도 안되는 거에 심신미약이라는 이유로 형량 너무 낮게 주는 경우 많이 봐서... 이번에 하늘이 죽인 교사는 어떻게 형량이 나올지 참;;; 우울증이라는 이유로 설마 형량 적게 나오는 건 아니겠죠?
