Jihyo (28, Park Jihyo), the leader of the group Twice, has become the owner of a building worth 4 billion won.
On the 2nd, the Herald Economy reported that Jihyo purchased a 4-story building (1 basement floor to 3 above-ground floor) in Seongsu-dong 2-ga, Seongdong-gu, Seoul for 4 billion won in early March last year. It is presumed that the building was purchased entirely in cash, as there was no separate mortgage set up on it.
Jihyo completed the registration of a private rental house after registering as a housing rental business operator in April of last year. Housing rental business operators can receive tax benefits such as acquisition tax, but are subject to regulations such as a 5% limit on rent increases, compliance with the mandatory rental period, and mandatory subscription to guarantee insurance under the Special Act on Private Rental Housing.
The industry believes that Jihyo decided to purchase the building in order to increase its value through future redevelopment. The Seongsu Strategic Development Zone 2, where the building is located, is also a large-scale Han River redevelopment project area that Seoul City is promoting, along with Hannam in Yongsan-gu and Apgujeong in Gangnam-gu.
The maintenance plan decision notice was completed at the end of last month, and the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone 2 is aiming to issue a bid notice for selecting a construction company within the second half of this year.
Jihyo acquired the status of a union member by purchasing the building. It has been reported that once the redevelopment is completed, there is a high possibility that she will be allocated a large Han River view apartment with an exclusive area of about 114㎡ (approximately 34 pyeong).
TWICE, which Jihyo is a part of, will release their fifth Japanese best album '#TWICE5' (hashtag TWICE5) on the 14th.
