Actor Lee Jun-young and girl group IVE member Jang Won-young will be MCs for 'Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN'.
According to OSEN's coverage on the 23rd, Lee Jun-young and Jang Won-young were selected as MCs for KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN (abbreviated as Music Bank Global Festival)' to be held at the Tokyo National Stadium on December 13th and 14th.
"Music Bank Global Festival" is a large-scale stage that KBS has been presenting since 2023, alternating between Korea and Japan, as part of its year-end awards season, "Gayo Daechukje." In Korea, it is known as the "Gayo Daechukje" Global Festival, and in Japan, it is known as the "Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN," and it aims to be a festival for K-pop fans of all generations and the world.

 

Among them, Jang Won-young has been active as an MC for 'Gayo Daechukje' since 2021, as she was the 37th president of KBS 2TV's music show 'Music Bank' in 2021. As a member of the popular K-pop girl group Ive and the MC of the year-end 'Gayo Daechukje', she will be appearing at 'Music Bank Global Festival' this year as well.
Joining them is Lee Jun-young, who has emerged as a rising star. Former member of the idol group U-KISS, Lee Jun-young has appeared in Netflix series "DP," "Fooled in Love," and "Weak Hero Class 2." He also starred as the male lead in the KBS drama "24 Hour Gym Club." Furthermore, he recently served as the MC for the "2025 MBC University Song Festival" and appeared in the "80s Seoul Song Festival" on MBC's entertainment show "Hangout with Yoo," demonstrating his connection to music as both a singer and actor.
Furthermore, the "Music Bank Global Festival" has expanded its scale this year, taking place at the Tokyo National Stadium. This massive venue, capable of accommodating over 60,000 spectators, is known to be a difficult venue to secure performance permits even locally. This venue, considered a "dream stage" even for Japanese singers, is piquing curiosity about what kind of duo Lee Jun-young and Jang Won-young will showcase as MCs.
