Top idol group BTS (RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook) added 500 million streamed songs to Spotify.

According to Big Hit Music on the 10th, the title song "IDOL" from BTS's repackaged album "LOVE YOURSELF 結 'Answer'" released in August 2018 has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on Spotify (based on the chart as of April 8). This is BTS's 15th group song to reach 500 million streams.

'IDOL' is a South African dance style song, with traditional Korean rhythms and chants layered on top of African beats, and the latest EDM sources supporting the trap groove rap. At the time of its release, it gained worldwide popularity, ranking 11th on Billboard's main song chart 'Hot 100' and 21st on the UK's Official Singles Chart. In 2022, it received 'Platinum' certification in the streaming category from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

Meanwhile, 'IDOL (Feat. Nicki Minaj)' featuring Nicki Minaj is also expected to surpass 200 million streams on Spotify with approximately 190 million streams.
