Even if you just look at the making-of videos or what your colleagues say on broadcasts, there are a lot of comments like, 'Byeon Woo-seok is too kind and gentle.' Doesn't that kind of personality make it difficult for you to work as a celebrity?

I thought a lot about that. When I'm having a hard time, I tend to be honest with the people I like and approach them. While there are people who see that in a positive light and sympathize with me, there are also people who take advantage of it. After being hurt so much (by people who take advantage of me), I thought, 'Is this the right way to treat people? Shouldn't I change as a person?' But my agency's CEO said, "This side of you will become your strength later. It's why people like you, and more people will like you for that." I could have lost my identity as Byun Woo-seok, but after hearing that, I pulled myself together. I thought that I could be happy enough just by taking care of the people who like me, so I should maintain who I am now.
