1. Conflict Between HYBE and Min Hee-jin

The conflict between HYBE and Min Hee-jin has been one of the hottest kpopnews in 2024.

The dispute continues to this day.

 

The issue became public on April 22, 2024, when HYBE announced that they had started an internal audit,

claiming the CEO Min Hee-jin and other ADOR executives were attempting to make ADOR independent from HYBE LABELS and seize management rights.

 

Min Hee-jin and the ADOR management team argued that they had only sent a letter to the headquarters to protest against the new girl group ILLIT from Belift Lab, anotehr HYBE LABELS subsidiary, for copying their own girl group NewJeans.

 

They claimed that the sudden retaliatory dismissal notice followed this protest.

3. SM and EXO-CBX Conflict

EXO's Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, known as EXO-CBX, who have been in conflict with SM Entertainment, filed a lawsuit against SM executives on charges of fraud.

 

In June 2023, EXO-CBX raised issues including opaque accounting practices and notified SM of their intention to terminate their exclusive contract, filing a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission.
