[소통] Former NCT member Taeil sent to prosecutors on sex crime charges

Taeil, who left the idol group NCT after being accused of sexual crimes, was handed over to the prosecution.

Seoul Bangbae Police Station announced on the 13th that Taeil had been sent to the prosecution without detention the day before. The victim is said to be an adult female.

The police booked Taeil last June following a report from the victim and summoned him for interrogation on the 28th of last month.

A police official said, “We cannot tell you the specific charges and number of victims because it is before the indictment is filed.” Fans expressed their anger, wondering if there could have been multiple victims.

On the day of the summons, SM Entertainment, his agency, announced that Taeil had left the team, saying, "We recognized that the matter was very serious and decided that we could no longer continue with the team."
