SM Entertainment has hinted at taking legal action against rumors that its artists visited Japanese entertainment establishments.

On the 5th, SM stated, "Currently, stimulating rumors about Johnny and Haechan's prostitution and drug use, which are too provocative to even mention, are being spread and reproduced indiscriminately online." They continued, " After checking, we have found that this is not true at all, and this is a criminal act that seriously damages the artist's reputation."

He added, "Indiscriminate, untrue rumors and malicious slander continue to be created against NCT and its artists, including Kim Heechul."

In doing so, they emphasized, "We have already collected sufficient data on numerous posts related to the content in question," and "We will not tolerate such criminal acts and will ensure that the perpetrators are legally punished without leniency or compromise, regardless of nationality."
