[All] Did you see what RM said to the foreign reporter?

A foreign reporter asked if he was tired of being labeled with the K modifier, and he answered like this.

BTS leader RM (real name Kim Nam-joon) said in an interview with a European media outlet: “The ‘K’ label is a quality certificate that our ancestors fought for.” He said.

On the 12th (local time), Spanish media El País released an interview with RM that covered the success of K-pop, Korean history, and RM's art collection.

RM was asked by a reporter, “Are you tired of the ‘K-’ modifier?” “You might get tired of Spotify calling us all K-pop, but it’s a premium label,” he said. “It’s the same quality assurance that our ancestors fought for.” 'K' is an expression that means Korea in front of various types of content including K-pop, and the reporter asked this question while mentioning that RM included songs of various genres in the album.

When asked, “Do you think K-pop’s dazzling success dehumanizes artists?” RM replied, “We don’t have much time for ourselves, but that’s what makes K-pop shine. From our 20s to 30s, we invested all our energy and time into BTS,” and asked the reporter what the question was.
