This lighting ceremony commemorated the release of Jin's second mini-album, Echo, and the building was lit in the album's key colors: blue, pink, yellow, and white.

Jin said that standing here, it feels real that the Empire State Building brightens New York just as music brightens our hearts. He said that blue symbolizes hope, pink symbolizes love, yellow symbolizes joy, and white symbolizes a new beginning.
