BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) has officially announced a comeback in the spring of 2026. Music fans around the world cheered the news of the return of these '21st century pop icons' who have rewritten the history of music beyond K-pop.

BTS directly announced their comeback during a live broadcast on the global superfan platform Weverse at around 9:20 p.m. on July 1, saying, "Our group album will be released next spring. We'll start preparing starting in July by sticking together. Since it's a group album, I think all the members' thoughts will go into it. We're going to go back to the beginning and work on it." They also added, "We're also planning to do a world tour with our new album. We'll be visiting various places around the world, so please look forward to it."

 

Then, in July, they revealed specific plans to sequentially move to the United States to begin working on music and preparing for performances. They plan to release a new album in 2026 and embark on a large-scale world tour, once again dyeing the world in purple waves.
