A group that stole and sold the flight boarding information of stars including the group BTS has been turned over to the prosecution.

On the 22nd, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Cyber Investigation Unit announced that it had sent three people, including Mr. A, an employee of a foreign airline, to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on the 18th on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.

The police arrested Mr. A in February and his two accomplices in March, and have been conducting investigations since then.

The investigation revealed that Mr. A illegally obtained the flight boarding information of famous celebrities, including BTS, and then handed it over to a distributor for money. It was discovered that the distributor sold the information through open chat rooms and SNS messages.

Previously, Hive formed a task force (TF) to respond to the 2023 airline ticket information leak, identified SNS accounts trading celebrity airline tickets, identified the distributors, and filed a complaint with the police.
