Residents of Hannam The Hill reportedly move frequently within the complex. A representative from B Real Estate Agency in Hannam-dong stated, "Hannam The Hill residents tend to avoid leaving the complex," adding, "Many elderly couples move to smaller units within the same complex after sending their children off to live with their families or to ease the burden of living in a larger home."

Hannam The Hill is a low-rise luxury apartment complex with 600 units in 32 buildings that opened in 2011. Built on the former site of Dankook University, it faces the UN Village along the Han River across a road. Completely away from the noise and congestion of Gangbyeonbuk-ro .

One side of the complex is surrounded by Maebongsan Mountain, making it difficult for outsiders to access. At the entrance to the complex, a path directly connects to the Maebongsan Mountain hiking trail, a frequent use by residents for walking and hiking. A representative from Hannam-dong's A Real Estate Agency explained, "It's a classic mountain-facing location, with Namsan Mountain at your back and the Han River in front. It's a rare location, within 20 minutes of both downtown Seoul and Gangnam, and it's practically in the center of Seoul on a map."

Indeed, the proximity of Dongho Bridge and Hannam Bridge makes access to Gangnam quick and easy. Passing through the Namsan Tunnel provides direct access to Seoul's core business districts, including City Hall and Gwanghwamun. Hangangjin Station on Line 6 and Oksu Station on Line 3 are both within a 15-minute walk, and Hannam Station on the Gyeongui and Jungang Lines is also nearby.
