Ottogi's "BTS Jin & Jin Ramen Edition" continues its popularity in the second half of the year.
Ottogi announced on the 25th that its representative ramen brand 'Jin Ramen' will continue its special communication with consumers in the second half of the year with the 'BTS Jin & Jin Ramen Edition' following the first half.
The promotion that included 12 types of seal stickers with BTS Jin's portrait and handwritten lettering, and Ottogi character 'Wootta' in the Jin Ramen multipack (5 pieces) in the first half of 2025 sold out all 13 million units (based on production) in just 50 days due to enthusiastic participation from consumers.
In March, when the event launched, Ottogi Mall sales surged nearly tenfold compared to the previous year, demonstrating a strong sales impact. The seal sticker collection craze led to online store box-by-box purchases, with the stock sold out more than a month ahead of schedule.
Sales of containers featuring BTS's Jin's portrait increased 34.7% in April compared to the previous month. Convenience stores in particular saw a 114% increase, demonstrating strong interest in the product.
The limited edition 'Slightly Spicy Purple Edition', launched alongside a global campaign, achieved sales of more than 1.5 times the planned quantity during the Coupang pre-launch in May, and based on high satisfaction, it will be officially launched in September, expanding consumer choices.
Ottogi plans to deliver new enjoyment to consumers in the second half of the year by introducing a cup ramen package featuring a new portrait of BTS' Jin.
Additionally, we are planning an event to give away limited edition seal stickers (4 types, limited to 100,000) to multipack buyers through Ottogi Mall and some online channels.
This seal sticker is significantly larger than the original 38×50mm, measuring 50×70mm, further enhancing its collectible value. In the second half of the year, online interactive events and content utilizing the new seal sticker and containers and cup noodles featuring the new portrait will be sequentially released.
An Ottogi official said, "We would like to thank you for your enthusiastic support in the first half of the year, and we will repay you with various events and new content for consumers in the second half of the year as well." They added, "Just as Jin Ramen provided a special experience through differentiated marketing with BTS Jin, we will continue to create a new history for the brand with the new BTS Jin & Jin Ramen Edition and consumer participation events."
