[talk] Jimin's second solo album has made it onto the global charts.
According to Billboard, Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE's title track 'Who' has re-entered the Billboard 'Global 200' chart at number 188, staying on the chart for a total of 72 weeks. This is the first and only time for a K-pop solo song to stay on the chart for 72 weeks. The same song also reached number 133 on the 'Global (excluding the US)' chart, staying on the chart for 76 weeks, which is also a unique record.
The album's performance continues to be strong. "MUSE" became the first and only K-pop solo album to top Billboard's "World Albums" chart eight times, and this week it reached number 14, marking its 77th consecutive week on the chart. Jimin is also the first K-pop solo album to reach 77 weeks on the "World Albums" chart.
Jimin previously set the record for the longest-staying K-pop solo song with the title track "Like Crazy" from his first solo album "FACE," spending 61 weeks on the "Global 200" and 68 weeks on the "Global (excluding the US)" chart. His latest song, "Who," has now become the second-longest-staying song on the chart.
What's even more impressive is that all of these achievements were achieved solely through Jimin's solo album and songs, without any collaborations with prominent Western artists. With BTS's full comeback scheduled for March 20th, it's safe to say that BTS has already secured a solid position on the charts even before their full-fledged team activities begin.
