BTS's comeback concert in Gwanghwamun has been approved.
The National Heritage Administration announced on the 20th, “As a result of the review by the Palace and Royal Tomb Subcommittee, Hive’s application for permission to use the Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace areas was conditionally approved.”
He then explained, “We will form a subcommittee to review the details and their impact on cultural heritage.”
However, the performance is not confirmed with just the approval of the National Heritage Administration, and the final decision will be made after additional approval procedures from related ministries such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the National Police Agency regarding the use of Gwanghwamun Square.
HYBE recently applied to the National Heritage Administration for permission to use the venue in the Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace areas to hold a K-pop concert featuring BTS.
They requested permission to use and film for reasons such as strengthening the status of K-culture, securing global influence, increasing tourists and enhancing the value of the national brand, and fulfilling responsibility for protecting national heritage and implementing safety management.
