As K-pop group BTS's world tour continues in Busan in June, a flood of reports of overcharging at accommodations were received over the weekend.

According to Busan City on the 19th, the number of reports received through the 'Baggaji Fee QR Report' system operated by the Korea Tourism Organization reached around 70 over the past weekend.

The Korea Tourism Organization plans to compile the exact number and details and hand them over to Busan City and local governments soon.

President Lee Jae-myung mentioned baggage fees on his former Twitter account on the 16th, calling them "a vicious tyranny that destroys the order of the entire market and causes great harm to everyone." He emphasized, "(Baggage fees) must be eradicated."

At the State Council meeting in September of last year, it was also instructed to “establish a system of fines and penalties that go beyond administrative guidance.”
