[talk] [Exclusive] BTS J-Hope Wins Grand Prize for Sharing Military Experience

It has been confirmed that BTS' J-Hope (real name Jung Ho-seok) won the grand prize for presenting his military experience at the 'Strong Warrior, Army! Presentation Contest'.

Among the soldiers who submitted their applications for duty, performing various duties such as a new recruit training battalion instructor, a search battalion cook, a food supply unit worker, and a platoon leader at the JSA security battalion, the soldier who attracted the most attention was BTS's J-Hope.

J-Hope, a member of the 36th Division team, and three others went up on stage and shared their military experiences. On stage, J-Hope said, "Whenever the trainees finish training, they tell me, 'It was an honor to be with you,'" and "It's a great pride to serve as a soldier of the Republic of Korea," receiving a big round of applause from the soldiers.

In this competition, a total of 3 teams were honored with awards, including 1 grand prize team and 2 excellence award teams. The 36th Division team that J-Hope belongs to won the grand prize, receiving the Army Chief of Staff's award, a trophy, and 500,000 won in prize money.

The grand prize went to the 73rd Infantry Division, and the other grand prize went to the 22nd Infantry Division. The grand prize team was awarded the Army Chief of Staff's Award, a trophy, and a cash prize of 1 million won.
