[All] BTS Jin, from albums to variety shows… ‘Sniping fans’ hearts’ with his passionate performance

BTS' Jin showed off his unique entertainment skills.

Jin appeared on the tvN entertainment show 'Handsome Guys on Sunday' aired on the 1st and 8th and showed off his witty banter, quick wit, and knowledge.

Jin, who appeared as the first guest on the program, impressed viewers with his all-out performance in the bingo match to find national heritage sites in the Gyeongsangnam-do region.

First, Jin visited a university in Busan with his team and showed off his artistic knowledge by mentioning Shin Saimdang after seeing the treasure, 'Embroidered Insect Screen'. Then, when inferring the season in the 'Donggwoldo', which is designated as a national treasure, he looked closely at the painting and realized that it was spring, which helped fill in the first square on the bingo board.

Jin's race to answer the right questions did not end here. In the question about 'Upo Swamp' in Changnyeong, he miraculously answered 'Frog Rock', leaving his teammates behind, and became the team's hero. Jin could not hide his thrilling feeling of answering the right answer even in the moving car.

He gained confidence by getting the right answers one after another and showed a 'Qui-chin-ja (quiz + crazy person)' moment, making everyone laugh. Although the chance to get a hint was lost due to the sudden rain, he did not give in and showed his competitive spirit by saying, "Now, shall we solve the quiz?" and even his teammates Oh Sang-wook and Lee Yi-kyung stuck out their tongues and said, "Qui-chin-ja."

Unfortunately, Jin's team lost the match and as a punishment, they had to pack mackerel at a wholesale market in Busan. Jin lightened the mood by teasing his coworker, saying, "It feels good to work with a handsome guy," and he was a great help with his skilled work.

Meanwhile, Jin released his first solo album 'Happy' on November 15th. To celebrate, he actively appeared on web entertainment shows such as 'Neighborhood Star K4' and 'Salon Drip 2', as well as on home theaters. On the 16th and 17th of last month, he held a fan showcase 'Jin 'Happy' Special Stage' and met ARMY (fandom name) in person.

Jin's album 'Happy' was recently named to Billboard's 'The 25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2024: Staff Picks'. It also ranked in the upper ranks (19th) of Billboard Japan's 2024 Year-End Chart (Aggregation Period: November 27, 2023 - November 24, 2024) 'Hot Albums' based on its performance within 10 days of release.

The title song 'Running Wild' entered the UK Official Singles Chart at number 25, achieving his highest ranking for a solo song, and proved his global popularity by rising to number 53 on the US Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100'.
