BTS Jin, Steady Love for Liquor, Jumping into Business, “Difficult to Confirm”

Will BTS' Jin jump into the traditional liquor business? There are reports that he will be starting a liquor business in collaboration with Baek Jong-won, CEO of The Born Korea and a restaurant entrepreneur.

On the 11th, News 1 reported that Yesan Doga, an agricultural corporation established through joint investment by Jin and Baek Jong-won, will be launching a distilled liquor (gin) called 'IGIN' this month. It has been reported that IGIN will be released not only as a distilled liquor, but also as a ready-to-drink (RTD) liquor using local agricultural products such as apples, watermelons, and plums from Yesan, South Chungcheong Province, Baek Jong-won's hometown.

However, Big Hit Entertainment, the agency, stated that they could not officially confirm this.

Jin showed his love for traditional liquor through BTS' YouTube channel content 'Drunken JIN Dam' in 2022. At that time, he visited traditional liquor master Park Rok Dam with Baek Jong-won and learned the recipe for traditional liquor. Even during his military service, he brewed traditional liquor during his vacation and gave it as gifts to his acquaintances. He showed his sincerity in promoting Korean traditional liquor by attending the Republic of Korea Myeongju Awards as a special judge.
