BTS Jimin's 'Who' Selected as 'Best K-Pop Song' by Rolling Stone India

BTS member Jimin's song 'Who' is enjoying immense popularity in India.

On the 23rd of last month, Rolling Stone India selected the '10 Best K-Pop Songs of 2024'. Regarding Jimin's 'Who', which made the list, it commented, "This song is even more special and mysterious with Jimin's star power and performance."

Rolling Stone India said, “The soft lighting, dance moves, unique signature vocals, and various musical elements come together to create a feeling of something otherworldly,” adding, “‘Who’ acts as a palette of sounds that highlights Jimin’s voice in just the right amount.”

Jimin's "Who" debuted at number one on the India Music Industry (IMI) Top 20 Singles chart, staying there for two consecutive weeks. It stayed in the top 10 for 17 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running top 10 ranking for a Korean solo song.

It also achieved the most streams among Korean male solo songs on Spotify India's Daily Top Songs chart with over 15 million streams, and set a record for the longest chart-staying period for a Korean male solo song by staying on the chart for 79 days.

Released in July of last year, 'Who' is a hip-hop R&B genre song that sings of the sad situation and confusing emotions of missing someone you've never met. The sexy and bold beat and Jimin's captivating voice combine to make you want to play it on repeat.

After its release, 'Who' entered the US Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' at 14th place, becoming the 6th solo song to enter the 'Hot 100' and remaining on the chart for 22 consecutive weeks. In addition, following the 2024 Spotify year-end 'Global Top K-Pop Songs of the Year' no. 1, it was selected as the best K-pop solo song in Apple Music's 'Year-end Best of 2024 K-Pop World' category.
