McDonald's new Grimace Shake is finally available in Korea. It's super popular in the US, so I've been waiting for it to come out in Korea, and it's finally here. Today, I'll be looking at the Grimace Shake's release date, price, taste review, and even the meme that's trending on TikTok these days!
1. McDonald's Grim Shake Release Date
It was released in Korea on October 17, 2024 ! It was already extremely popular in the US thanks to the hot meme. So I wanted it to come out in Korea soon, and it finally landed~
2. Price
The price for a single Grimms Shake is 3,200 won . Honestly, that's not a bad price for a shake, right?
In addition, the combo menu of 'Grimmer's Shake + 6 pieces of McNuggets' would be a good combination.
3. Taste Review
It's blueberry-flavored, so it tastes exactly like a blueberry milkshake, as you'd expect . It's not too sweet, and it has a light blueberry flavor, so you can drink it without feeling guilty! And it's visually full of Grimm's signature purple, so it might be good for Instagram, right?
At first, I saw the purple color and thought, "Is it taro or sweet potato flavor?", but it was blueberry, as expected! By the way, I'm a blueberry fanatic, so I had really high expectations. I was quite satisfied.
4. Grim Shake Meme
Did you know that this became a super hot meme on American TikTok? If you go to the hashtag #GrimaceShake, you'll find a bunch of videos of people drinking shakes and pretending nothing happened, then suddenly collapsing, or being brainwashed into becoming Grimace followers(?).
When I watch this, it's funny, but I also find the somewhat odd imagination fascinating.
When it was discontinued, fans uploaded videos of how to make it themselves, and there were even a lot of parodies of people pretending to die after drinking it. I think there will be a lot of people in Korea who will follow suit!
